Required Setup

* 	presumes the directory is checked out to ~/dotfiles
*	presumes git is installed

Optional Setup

*   if you want machine specific git settings put it in a file ~/.gitconfig.local	
*   on a mac `brew install reattach-to-user-namespace`, if you want to have the report functions work in tmux
